Easter Stories

The Littlest Egg

Once upon a time, in a cozy nest nestled amongst the daffodils, lived a tiny Easter egg. He was smaller than all the other eggs, and his colours were a bit pale. “No one will want me,” he worried.

On Easter morning, the Easter Bunny hopped by, basket overflowing. He picked up all the big, bright eggs, leaving the littlest egg behind.

The littlest egg felt very sad. Just then, a little girl named Lily wandered over. She spotted the small egg, nestled alone. “Oh, you’re so cute!” she exclaimed, gently picking him up. “You’re just the right size for my little hand!”

Lily took the littlest egg home and gave him a special spot in her bed, right next to her favourite fluffy bunny. The littlest egg realized that even though he was small, he was perfect just the way he was. And Lily learned that sometimes, the smallest things can bring the biggest joy.

The Great Egg Hunt

It was a crisp Easter morning, and three siblings – Lily, Ben, and Mia – were bouncing with excitement as they held their colourful baskets, ready for the annual egg hunt in their grandmother’s garden. The grass sparkled with dew, and the bushes were dotted with pastel-coloured eggs that gleamed in the sunlight.

“Ready, set, go!” Grandma called, and the three dashed off in different directions.

Lily, the oldest, was quick and had a sharp eye. In no time, her basket was brimming with little eggs – blue ones, yellow ones, even a speckled golden egg. Ben, the middle sibling, was a bit more methodical, checking every nook and cranny. His basket filled steadily, but not as much as Lily’s.

Mia, the youngest, was small and easily distracted. She stopped to watch a butterfly flutter by and to admire the daffodils. By the time the hunt was over, she had only found three eggs.

The three siblings gathered under the big oak tree to count their treasures. Lily had eighteen eggs, Ben had twelve, and Mia looked sadly at her three.

“I don’t think I’m very good at egg hunting,” Mia mumbled, her lower lip quivering.

Lily and Ben exchanged a glance. Without saying a word, Lily poured some of her eggs into Mia’s basket. Ben did the same.

“Let’s put them all together,” Ben suggested. The three siblings tipped their eggs into a pile, and Lily carefully divided them into three equal groups. Each of them now had eleven eggs.

“Now we all have the same,” Mia said with a bright smile.

The siblings spent the rest of the morning cracking open their eggs together, sharing the chocolate and surprises inside. They laughed and agreed it was ‘the best Easter ever’.

As they sat under the oak tree, all three of them felt a warm, happy glow. Lily and Ben smiled. They were happy knowing they had made their little sister’s day brighter by sharing their eggs. Mia, clutching her basket, realised just how kind and generous her older siblings had been, and her heart swelled with gratitude. Easter, she thought, really was a time for love and sharing.

Laughter and storytelling bring families closer, and Easter provides the perfect opportunity to create memories that last a lifetime. We hope these jokes brought plenty of smiles and that everyone enjoyed these stories. Share a joke, tell a story, and let the Easter fun continue!
